Check Your Treats

Nutritious and Kid-Approved

This can be made easier with nice green apples and other healthy ingredients. All you have to do is slice a green apple and smear some peanut butter on one side of a slice (this forms the bottom lip of the mouth). Then, add yogurt-covered raisins to the peanut butter. Smear some peanut butter on another apple slice and place it at the top of the raisins to form the top lip and you have your healthy monster teeth ready.
This isn’t hard to do. Just make deviled eggs. On the top, place an olive in the center to form the spider’s body. After that, put a few slices of olives around the outer edge of the egg to form the spider legs and there you have it!
Get some bananas and cut them in half. After that, place a stick at the end for the handle. Just at the tip of the banana, add two chocolate chips as the eyes and serve frozen or cold. Kids love this!
Cheesy Ghost Sticks
The first things to get are individually wrapped mozzarella cheese sticks. Then, get a sharpie and make black dots for the eyes. Also, do the same to form an open dark mouth. These will make a great trick-or-treat snack.
For yo-yo graveyard, scoop some non-fat Greek yogurt into cups. Then, crumble some chocolate cookies on top (make sure it’s a thin layer to cover the top) to form the dirt. For the tombstones, write “Boo” on graham crackers and place it in each yogurt cup and you are done! You can use food coloring pens or icing to do this.
To make this, you’ll need to peel mandarins, cuties, or some clementines. After peeling, place a stick of celery at the top of each mandarin to form the pumpkin stem and you’re good to go.

Creepy Halloween Party Punch
INGREDIENTS: 12 cups diet or sugar-free cranberry juice cocktail, 3 cups diet ginger ale, 2 cups sugar-free lemonade, and 2 cups vodka of your choice.
Get it all mixed up and chilled in a wide, clear bowl, and top it off with some icy hands made from powder-free latex gloves that have been rinsed, filled, frozen, and then peeled away from the ice.
Freshly Roasted Pecans, Peanuts, and Chestnuts
Use an oven or even a small open fire to roast seasonal favorites of nuts. Just place it on a pan or baking sheet and wait until you see the nuts turn a little shiny, revealing the natural oil. The aroma will be strong and fragrant. Then, it’s time to take off the heat and eat.
Homemade Pita Chips and Dip
Cut up some soft pitas into triangles or small squares and throw them into a bowl with a little olive oil, then toss. Place on a baking sheet at 180c for 5-8 minutes, or until they are brown. Leave on the baking sheet until cooled. Pair it with your favorite recipe of homemade bean dip, hummus, and fresh salsa.
